CDSG Minutes: February 13th, 2006

UEC Report

There have been changes in the written material that has been handed out last time in the UEC meeting about PSU’s university study courses. Since they weren’t sure about the final changes, in the next meeting, there’s going to be a faculty member that works closely with the university on that subject, to inform us. Ethan Seltzer is going to discuss students’ and faculty’s concerns and idea about the CD major with Dean Wallack. Enterprise internship program will only be for projects/organizations working on housing. There is the possibility to do the internship fair with the one for the Graduate program.

SFC's Deliberation

The deliberation is going to be next week on Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Wiki Demo

Ryan did the demo on how to work with wiki, and how to post different documents, images, and make changes. It’s a lot of fun! Since anybody could make changes to the page and post stuff that are not necessarily what CDSG believe in, there’s going to be usernames and passwords in the future. All changes, the person who has done it, and the number of times that the person has attempted, will be on wiki as well. A disclaimer might be used to clear the nature of wiki, and explain how people are able to work with the page and post their material.

Movie Night Update

Milagro Beanfield will be more expensive that what the group has expected. A vote was taken to choose other movies for Brad to discuss them with the 5th Ave. cinema people. Brazil is the first choice of the group. To get better results, the movie night might be on the same night of Intership Fari day. It’s going to be Community Developmet day!

Internship Fair Planning

So far 21st of April seems to be the date chosen for doin it. The group will have a meeting to plan the event soon.
