Come check out local and national organizations and businesses that relate to the Community Development field!

Come participate in an opportunity to do some outreach! Interested volunteers and interns from the community as well as over 150 students in the Community Development program at Portland State University will attend the Community Development Fair. Our community development students work on a range of issues including housing, community organizing, transportation, the environment, and economic development.

The Fair will take place on April 21st, 2006 from 12pm to 3 pm in the Smith Memorial Student Union (rooms 296 and 298) on the PSU campus. There will be ample opportunities to network with community organizations over refreshments.

At 2 pm, we will celebrate the new 2006 Enterprise Community Development Internship Program. The Enterprise Foundation Internship stipend will cover 100-200 hours of work with community organizations by upper division or master level Community Development majors on a matching basis.

Because space is limited, community organizations should RSVP to the Community Development Student Group at commdev@pdx.edu or (503) 725-8948 as soon as possible to assist us in planning for your arrival. Please include: the number of people attending, whether a parking pass and/or number of bus passes are needed, and any dietary needs.

Students are needed as ambassadors and are welcome to come early to help set up. Interested students should contact CDSG at commdev@pdx.edu.

Don’t miss this year’s best opportunity to meet face to face with community organizations and students involved in the cutting edge of housing, community organizing, transportation, the environment, and economic development!
